YarraNet

YarraNet began in 1996 as an initiative of the Open Learning Technology Corporation Ltd, the Yarra-Melbourne Regional Library and the Central Metropolitan Regional Council of Adult, Community and Further Education. Read the Early History of YarraNet for more information about our beginning years. In late 1998 and early 1999 Mark Russell and then Tim Hamilton, the YarraNet founders, left to persue other goals. They were replaced by Phill Webb in the Technical Support role and Lee Webster as the YarraNet Coordinator.
At the beginning of 2001 YarraNet seperated from the Yarra-Melbourne Library Corporation and became YarraNet Inc. an incorporated not-for-profit organisation. We continued to have a strong relationship with the library providing many of their internet services.
