YarraNet began in 1996 as an initiative of the Open Learning Technology Corporation Ltd, the Yarra-Melbourne Regional Library and the Central Metropolitan Regional Council of Adult, Community and Further Education. They were replaced by Phill Webb in the Technical Support role and Lee Webster as the YarraNet Coordinator.
At the beginning of 2001 YarraNet seperated from the Yarra-Melbourne Library Corporation and became YarraNet Inc. an incorporated not-for-profit organisation. We continued to have a strong relationship with the library providing many of their internet services.
